Eastleigh Borough Council

Eastleigh Borough Council is the latest organisation to join the ranks of carboncheck customers. The organisation has an extremely proactive sustainability department who have been responsible for driving a number of low carbon awareness and implementation projects.  One of the main challenges for the Eastleigh team has been the gathering and consolidation of carbon management data. To date this has been a fairly labour intensive program involving entering data from bills and expense reports into Excel spreadsheets. carboncheck was chosen after a review of a number of carbon software products because of its ability to automate data capture from various sources. The council also has a number of voluntary and statutory reporting obligations including providing National Indicator 185 reports to DEFRA covering details of emissions from buildings and transport which is a standard report within carboncheck.
